Supplementary Teaching Modules Democracy, as presented in many textbooks today, is a sterile landscape wherein the student often finds it difficult to separate the trees from the rocks, the living from the nonliving. The "critical issue" modules linked to the section below can be used by teachers who wish to develop lesson plans addressing those aspects of really-existing democracy that are identified by CED as critical problem areas.

The Supplementary Teaching Modules [still under development]--which will eventually include lesson plans, audiovisual material, suggested classroom assignments, and class exercises--will be made available free of charge over the Internet or at cost for postal packages that include your choice of multimedia CD-Rom's or videotapes, booklets, and proposals for lesson plans.
