Surviving in the 21st Century
The Syntropic Communities of North America (SCNA) invite you to consider a new approach to valuesan approach that will serve you and your descendants well as you begin the next millennium.
Material well being and human values CAN work together. You can increase your personal wealth, protect the environment, effect social change, and find meaning through working with others of like mind. Heres how to begin:
|
- You can read this flyer and then our brochure on Syntropic Investment Clubs.
- If you find that our values approximate your own, ask for a copy of the SCNA Charter and/or the book entitled What Is Your Life Worth? Or watch the video Democracy In Time.
- You could then attend an introductory meeting or send us email to ask for more information.
- If, after doing the above, you are still not sure, you could attend one of our regular meetings in person or via one of the electronic means available before you decide whether or not you wish to become a partner.
What does Partnership in a Syntropic Community involve?
Consideration of a set of democratic values that distinguishes SCNA from all other organizations.
Joining an Investment Club within the SCNA framework. SCNA has several investment clubs, each with a different level of monthly deposit.
A commitment to learning and investing wisely in order to increase your personal wealth and the well-being of the human community at several levels.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How much time and money would this involve?
A. You can choose among several levels of participation. At a minimum, active partnership would involve about two hours each month, and about $30$60 per month in investments. Ten dollars of that amount goes into your individual account with the community, and $20 or $50 or $100 depending on which club you join goes into your account with the club.
You can also be an inactive partner, a supportive partner or a nonpartner Friend of Syntropic Communities.
Q. Can I withdraw my money or quit at any time without losing anything?
A. Of course. The freedom to say no and to vote with your feet is essential to our organizational philosophy. You will be able to withdraw your investments with dividends and interest, minus the costs of selling your shares. The ten dollar monthly community investments, however, are not refundable until such time as the community partnership dissolves itself.
Q. How can I learn more about the benefits of joining without making any commitments?
A. You can send us email or write to request our four page brochure.
We have other printed literature that may be helpful, and you can download material freely from the CED website.
Again, we invite you to attend one of our free introductory meetings where you can see our slide show or the video entitled Democracy In Time and join us in a conversation about the future
