Essays and Writing ProjectsThe "tickler essays," excerpted from the CED video entitled Democracy In Time and placed on pages with links to related websites, can be used by students and teachers or any independent author as a starting point for writing papers or for relating one's personal life to the political process. The essays linked to this module may reflect the views of CED editors and staff but not necessarily those of the CED Board of Directors. None of the essays are intended to stake an absolute claim on truth. Rather, they are written to stimulate discussion and involvement. |

| Brief Essays on Issues in Modern Democracy: |
|
Brief essays written for classroom work, as commentary for presentation in local media, or for distribution over the Internet can be more than a personal learning experience for the author: they can also be a genuine contribution to change in the political decision-making process. Writers of all ages are invited to send their essays to CED for publication on the Web. [Please note: copyright notice will be added for each author, but copyright protection will be the responsibility of each author.]
If you publish on your own website and think CED would like what you wrote, send us your web address. We may create a link to your pages!
